Gastritis Treatment with Potato Juice

Ten day potato juice cure for gastritis treatment.
After I graduated from college I started teaching in a high school, but I didn't like the job, so I went to an interview. There they told me it would be a trial period to decide whether or not hire me.
It was a very tiring and stressful time for me. The two jobs were in different corners of the city. I had to get up very early and arrived home very late.
I barely ate, mostly junk food. This program proved to be disastrous to my stomach. Soon it began to show signs that it was not properly treated. The pain was fierce and each day I felt stabbing pains in my abdomen.
This was the bad. Now the good
At the new work place I met my husband. After I met his parents, I told my future to be mother-in-law about my stomach pain.
She advised me to take a cure for 7 - 10 days with potato juice. She told me her husband's had a stomach ulcer a few years back with "black stool" (melena). The doctors told him that it will probably need surgery.
Following along the doctors prescription, my mother-in-law also put him on a potato juice diet. He recovered without surgery. Well, to be on the safe side, he also drank marigold tea for about a year.
I said to myself it was worth trying. For 10 days I drank a glass of potato juice, obtained from 2 medium potatoes, in the morning, half hour before breakfast.
The taste was horrible and it took me a lot of time to drink all the juice, but I couldn't leave it too long because the juice should be drunk fresh.Towards the end of 10 days I became accustomed to the taste and my stomach pains disappeared.
Fortunately there was no need for me to go to the doctor, so I do not know whether or not was gastritis.
Later I searched the scientific explanation for potato juice benefits in gastritis treatment and gastro-duodenal ulcer. I found that potatoes contain 15 different minerals and essential amino acids, especially lysine. They also contain large amounts of starch that help neutralize the excess gastric acid and protect the stomach. Potato juice, like that of cabbage, has not equal in gastric acidity and gastric ulcers treatment. It is an antispastic, a diuretic, an emollient and has soothing properties.
If you can't stand the taste, you could add carrot juice, honey and a few drops of lemon. Potato juice is prepared the same way as the carrot juice. Wash and peal the potatoes. Chop them very fine or grate them, then put them through a grinder or an electric juicer. Squeeze well and separate the juice. Drink it fresh.
A word of caution. Search for clean vegetables (organic potatoes - without toxic chemicals treatment), or you risk to intoxicate the body.
