Vitex, also called Chaste Tree / Chasteberry (Vitex agnus castus) native to tropical, subtropical and also warm temperate regions has effect on the pituitary gland - it regulates hormone levels who play a role in female reproduction (it is used in case of prolactin excess, progesterone secretion disorders or luteinizing hormone).
