Facts about acne

Here are some advice for acne from The Green Beauty Guide:

1 - Caution! Something does not work in the body!
Acne is not normal and it shouldn't happend. It is an alarm that something does'n work properly in the body and must be treated before they cause internal problems and other health problems. It is a good idea to start by conducting tests and a visit to the doctor. You should be aware of the cause of your acne, especially that hygiene is not to blame.

2 - Local cosmetic treatments for acne have any effect?
Cleaning lotions, gels, lotions and creams probably will not remove the problem. These products are unnecessary because they don't remedy the CAUSE of acne. However, there are products that improve acne.

3 - Anti-acne creams with benzoyl peroxide - are they good?
This compound is currently in many "treatments" for acne: cleaners, asringent solutions, moisturizing creams. In high concentrations, it is used in whitening teeth. Benzoyl peroxide is highly flammable, explosive, toxic, potentially carcinogenic. It removes the bacteria from the skin surface, but is a strong irritant that can lead to worsening of acne or even contact dermatitis. It also favors free radicals, that undermines the natural protective layer of skin, increasing the risk of skin cancer.

Currently, benzoyl peroxide is considered in the U.S. as an unsafe ingredient and the law stipulates that cosmetic products containing it must have labels that warn consumers of potential dangers they run. Here are some of the brands that contain benzoyl peroxide, to know what to detour: Zapzyt, Topix, Oxy, Pevonia Botanica, Clearasil, Johnson & Johnson Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, Dermalogica.

You better try sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), salicylic acid or tea tree essential oil diluted in clean water.

4 - Antibiotics against acne
Antibiotics are not recommended for treating acne, neither oral or local ones. Even on the contrary, they often aggravates acne. Antibiotics kill the bacteria responsible for developing last stage of acne. But bacteria mutate and become resistant to antibiotics. And the good bacteria in internal organs don't mutate, and are therefore destroyed, which aggravates acne and rashes, not to mention other problems caused by the use of antibiotics, such as infection with Candida albicans.

5 - Herbs can cure acne?
Herbs do not cure acne, but only short-term help to improve its surface. But do not expect miracles.

6 - Anti-acne treatments with Accutane
Accutane (Roaccutane) is a highly toxic drug and harmful for the body, which will threaten health forever. Plus the cure rate is not an encouraging. Always document before follow medical advice.

7 - Washing the face too often or too rarely affects acne?
If you clean the face too often, you can dry the skin, which can worsen acne. So, if you clean the face too seldom, skin becomes oily and acne worse. Best to wash your face twice daily, once a day morning and evening before bedtime. Never hot water!
